Administrative Assistant Intermediate level

Are you interested in working with a non profit organization? Are you a self-motivated, highly professional administrative assistant? My client is looking for a administrative professional who thrives in a fast pace, ever changing environment to join their team. They are committed to expanding their movement and increasing the quality of new and existing schools both quantitatively and qualitatively. This role will provide high quality member services, retaining, and increasing membership throughout Georgia.


Maintain member database.

Assist with billing of membership dues and track receivables.

Communicate with staff about membership on a weekly basis by providing weekly report on paid members.

Provide guidance and feedback to members and prospective members.

Build relationships with member schools to increase retention of existing members and promote membership with

prospective members.

Update the website with related job opportunities.

Assist the Vice President of School Services with training preparation and scheduling.

Maintain the governing board database and records of governance training provided by the School Services team.

Process mail and other accounting tasks to promote segregation of accounting duties.

Work collaboratively with the Vice President of School Services to develop and implement programs and services

for charter school administrators, boards, staff, and teachers across the state.

Provide information to key stakeholders related to charter schools.

Assume other administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of School Services.

Assume other duties to fulfill the strategic plan and mission of the organization

General office administration duties

Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Experience developing and maintaining a member database.

Experience interfacing with members to field questions and concerns.

Creative problem solver, ability to multitask without compromising detail or quality, self-directed and motivated, and

comfortable and resourceful being a one-person "department" within a small, yet growing, nonprofit organization.

Willingness and ability to travel (primarily in state).

Self-directed and motivated, with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Superb interpersonal and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and software is required.

Bachelor's degree with the a commitment to on-going professional development.
