Material Management Analyst

Position Summary: The Material Management Analyst is responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that equipment and material components are available when needed to satisfy the airport facility plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels. Also responsible for a wide range of coordination and administrative tasks in support of the airport facility. This position may be assigned contract administrative services, procurement, material /inventory coordination, and other business-related support to the program. The Material Management Analyst provides advice and interpretation of contract requirements, obligations, and risks. Also, analyzes contractor terms and conditions and suggests innovative ways to deal with contract requirements, obligations, and exposures. The Material Management Analyst covers operation and facility service/maintenance agreements, modification to standard purchasing terms, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, MOUs, changes to existing agreements, re-negotiations of existing contracts and other contractual terms and conditions.


? Present requirements to suppliers, obtain quotes, compare and challenge quotes, manage negotiations for best value in price, quality & lead times.

? May assist Procurement Manager with solicit/select/award. Assists in post award activities to ensure contractor?s compliance with contract terms and applicable regulations in a cost-effective, timely and responsive manner.

? Source and purchase the required equipment, materials, or services.

? Review, and process contract task orders and/or Amendments.

? Provides instruction and guidance to Material Coordinators on procurement requirements for Min/Max setting.

? Issue purchase orders, consistent with company rules and required internal approvals.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM


--Purchases manufacturing materials by submitting purchase orders, tracking due dates, and arranging shipping

--Analyzes inventory against demand to identify potential out of stock situations

--Manage inventory levels ensuring appropriate service, inventory, and working capital requirements

--Resolves scheduling problems by collecting and analyzing information and coordinating solutions

--Collects requirements from the Facilities, Programs, and Asset Sustainability Department

--Negotiates with the vendors and places order for the materials or assets and makes sure that the placed orders are delivered on time

--Supervises the inventory of material, attic, and available stock and generates monthly inventory report to be presented to the higher officials

--Works with Facilities Department to identifies the reason for the extra consumption of the material by collecting information from the Facilities department






? Must be able to pass requirements for approval for an ATL badge with customs seal. This includes a 10-year background search by finger print analysis

? Bachelor?s Degree in Logistics, Material Management or Supply Chain Management or similar experience in lieu of a college degree.

? Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Computerized Maintenance Management Software packages, and ability to demonstrate knowledge of the above or other database software packages.

? Excellent communication and negotiating skills

? Ability to develop and communicate clear, concise, and consistent provisions for contracts.

? Ability to formulate logical approaches and recommendations to address complex issues.

? Technical aptitude necessary to understand and coordinate inclusion of contractual and technical topics in mid -level contracts for operation and facility service agreements Demonstrates organization skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

? High level of dependability with a strong sense of urgency, accountability and results-orientation.

? Skilled at researching the market, looking for potential suppliers and designing quotations for the purchase order.
