Jr. QA Automation Tester

job summary:

We're looking for a Jr QA engineer to join our Commercial Lending Services team. In this position, you'll be working with a dedicated group of technologists to build and test the underlying platform infrastructure, lending data services, and front-end UIs. You'll have the opportunity to help deliver a greenfield platform using modern cloud technologies as we evolve our services-based architecture. responsibilities:

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop test cases that provide evidence of the software's conformance to documented Functional and Technical specifications (Manual at first, with intention to full automation)

  • Assure testing coverage based on customer requirements

  • Conduct tests review with relevant stakeholders

  • Develop data used to set up the system for the client's use

  • Validate customer setup from end user perspective

  • Conduct regression testing on every new release and prior delivery to the customer

  • Provide the Project with accurate status of releases

  • Conduct qualification of customer defects

  • Perform re-tests of fixed defects to ensure compliance to specifications and affected area.

  • Participate in walk-through of documentation held by various groups in Finastra

  • Participate in post-test team meetings intended to identify areas of improvement in the test process

  • Work in teams to determine test objectives, execute test cases and improve testing processes

qualifications:

Job Requirements

  • Relevant academic background (BA in Computer Science, Information Technology)

skills: - Experience in:

  • QA methodology and process

  • Microsoft's Technology Stack (.Net, VSTS, MTM, Azure)

  • Automated API Testing tools (Soap UI, etc.)

  • Former Testing of a platform would be a strong advantage

  • Financial Services - bonus

  • PC - including MS Office products

  • Team player - ability to work with a team in a dynamic and complex environment
