Permanent position: Project Engineer needed in the Bakersfield, California area to join one of the leading civil engineering companies. The Project Engineer will be exposed to various projects and will be assisting the Project Manager. Daily duties will be working with RFIs, change orders, cost tracking and submit change orders. Responsibilities for the Project Engineer
Assist with various aspects of estimating and project management such as project submittals, preparing scope of work, safety compliance, scheduling, pricing and vendor management.
Must be organized and the ably to prioritize work and meet deadlines on time.
Manage multiple projects with precision and speed.
Requirements for the Project Engineer
Bachelors degree in Construction management, Civil engineering or previous work on large civil work is preferred.
Experience reading blueprints and working with grading, storm drains, sewers and water lines preferred.
Knowledge and use of software programs such as Primavera, Suretrak and Blue Beam.
