Footwear Testing Analyst

Randstad is hiring a Footwear Testing Analyst to work with our client, a major global, athletic footwear and apparel company headquartered in Beaverton.

As a Footwear Testing Analyst , you will test most of the footwear prototypes that the company makes. You will test them with consumer and with athletes.


As our Product Testing Analyst II, you'll manage all aspects of testing; including planning, recruiting testers, running tests, analyzing data, capturing athlete insights, writing reports, delivering presentations and program management.

You'll use your understanding of footwear's manufacturing processes combined with your understanding of the athlete to offer suggestions to the product team regarding material, component and construction options to meet the product's performance goals.

You'll specify the performance issues that need attention prior to production.

You'll be responsible for training and mentoring new analysts and coordinators on the day-to-day obligations of the position, as well as train other product testing teammates as needed.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


They have a good training process that they can get people trained pretty easily. Looking for someone who can function as part of a team.

Need great communication skills. Will be speaking to the people who test the shoes directly. They will then take their feedback and put it all into a written report.

Looking for someone passionate about footwear products.

You will be working with new and innovative footwear designs. Instead of testing classics. You will be working for new products that will the first of its' kind!!






Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific or technical field

  • 2 years'; experience in footwear industry, product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, customer service or some combination preferred

  • Understanding of footwear components, materials, and inline production processes is preferred

  • Able to analyze test information and subjective feedback in a concise and understandable manner

  • Strong interpersonal skills focused on athlete/tester relationships, gathering insight, and communicating to product creation teams

  • Ability to converse and discuss footwear products, processes and components in technical terms with Engineering Teams and Asia Liaison Offices.

  • Experience as a player or sport-specific knowledge relevant to category team focus

is a plus

  • Experience working with Collegiate level athletes, coaches and equipment managers

  • Demonstrated leadership skills are required

  • Demonstrated computer skills, including familiarity with word processing,

spreadsheet, database, presentation software and statistical analysis procedures

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Budget management

  • Ability to travel up to 10% per year

Additional Strengths (but not Required):

  • Engineering (mechanical, industrial, process) education
