job summary:

An Eastside company needs a recruiter to assist with building out their new department and is therefore looking for a contract to hire for the right person. This role is working alongside the HR Operations Manager to recruit for a variety of roles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with HR Operations Manager and candidates

  • Act as an internal consultant to managers in regards to job descriptions, sourcing and employee selection

  • Conduct high volume sourcing for opportunities throughout the U.S.

  • Develop a large, diverse and qualified applicant pool from multiple sources including direct sourcing, cold-calling, websites, referrals, job fairs, advertising, networking, etc.

  • Screen resumes and interview candidates to determine their fit to open positions

  • Facilitate interview and hiring decision process with interviewers and hiring managers

  • Extend job offers and negotiate with candidates

  • Maintain candidate status in the applicant tracking system and create and maintain reports and dashboards

  • Manage activities of the Recruiting Coordinator

  • Assist with the onboarding of new employees

  • Check references as required

  • Contribute to the development of best practices, recruiting strategy, process improvement, and employer branding initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4 or more years of full life cycle recruiting experience, with a successful background sourcing candidates using a variety of avenues, including proactive internet research

  • Experience recruiting for Blue Collar, Engineering, Sales, and Administrative roles

  • Applicant Tracking System experience and strong MS Office skills, including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
