Contract position: Engineering & Construction client involved in commercial construction projects is looking for a Project Superintendent to support a commercial building construction project in the Bentonville, AR area. You need at least 15+ years of overall experience related to commercial & facility projects and at least 5 years of experience as a Project Superintendent or Construction Manager. Specific experience working on commercial building projects is needed. Client prefers candidates that are local , but will pay a per diem, mobilization and demobilization and a paid trip home every 3 weeks.
Responsibilities for the Superintendent
Provide on-site construction and administrative management of field related activities on a commercial building construction project
Monitor Subcontractor construction efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions (schedule progress, construction activities, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of on-site staff)
Monitor Subcontractor construction efforts & activities to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
Responsible for the oversight of the following project site construction work activities: HVAC systems, dry wall, replacing the roof, plumbing, etc...
Requirements for the Superintendent
You need 15+ years of experience related to commercial & facilities construction projects
You need at least 5 years of experience as a Project Superintendent, Construction Superintendent or Construction Manager over commercial building or facility construction projects
You need project experience that includes working on existing finishes, re-building new ceilings, walls, finishes, millwork, flooring, & HVAC modifications
You need excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate work with on-site client
