Participates in reference data governance activities, providing industry standard reference data knowledge and expertise to support, the on-going auditing and certification of healthcare industry standard reference data as well as proprietary reference data. Participates in the creation and distribution of quarterly scorecards for reference data audits. Participates in the evaluation of data certification rules for reference data. Uses data analytical skills to perform detailed evaluations and makes suggestions for correction, and remediation of incorrect data; including up-stream and down-stream impact assessments. Makes recommendations based on relevant findings to drive the decision-making process and support business operations for internal and external customers in an effort to control medical cost and improve the quality of services provided to members. Performs research and analysis of complex reference data to proactively promote quality improvement information.
Performs duties associated with new projects in relation to reference data going forward including the evaluation of reference data systems evaluations and testing.
This position requires a high level of expertise in both analyzing medical data and information systems. May provide guidance or expertise to less experienced analysts

To analyze and problem solve issues with current and planned projects and IT systems as they relate to the integration and management of reference data
Maintains relationships with Operational / Implementation stakeholders
Participates in the activities and processes as they relate to MDM Lifecycle
Follows approved processes and procedures
Participates in MDM Lifecycle development assignments
Familiarity with SDLC business acceptance testing.
Participates in the project intake process
Communicates with team members and matrix partners regarding errors and potential problems and provides appropriate follow up.
Participates in the development of polices and procedures as needed.
Work in collaboration with policy and procedure team in the creation of policies and procedures as needed.
Work in collaboration with business, project and IT partners in support of reference data changes and/or requirements as a result of enterprise projects.
Maintains and protects confidentiality information.
Complies with all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Microsoft office products including Excel and Access for data anaysis
5+ years of industry standard reference data usage/experience
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem solving
Ability to understand and facilitate the transfer of reference data to downstream implementation teams
Excellent decision making abilities. Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on the information gathered.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong time management skills; highly organized and detail oriented.

skills: * Four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
*CPC, RHIA, or RHIT Preferred
ors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, at least four, typically six years of solid, diverse work experience in IT.
