Potential Contract to Hire

Sr. IT Applications Analysts working on the Data and Analytics Solutions team will be expected to develop a proficiency in working with MS SQL Server ecosystem tools including: SSMA, SSIS, and T-SQL. Primary responsibilities will include; performing SQL Table build and migration functions including managing installation, configuration, tuning, and system stability of MS Table spaces; performing code migrations through Dev/QA/Production environments; developing ETL using a variety of scripting languages and ETL tools to ingest data into SQL Server; working collaboratively with customers to optimize query and cluster performance; participate in projects as a member of a Scrum team.

Provide high level design of the application, how it's going to work, what it's going to do

Provided detail design initially until additional resources were added

Architecture presentation and review

qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline; Or 4 years of prior equivalent work related experience in lieu of a degree - Proficient with MS SQL Server language, platform, and environment - Proficient with SQL Tables; Compression; T-SQL - Understanding of data warehousing concepts - Understanding of relational data models - Ability to develop/troubleshoot SQL - SQL Server Import Export Wizard - ETL Data Migration Skills - Experience developing ETL workflows - Understanding of Networking concepts - Ability to understand and translate customer requirements into technical requirements

skills: Desired:

  • Proficient with Oracle database platforms and PLSQL programming - Proficient with SSIS -- - Experience storing Object data in SQL Server - SSMA SQL Server Migration Assistance for Oracle - Hands-on experience with BI tools and reporting software - Experience with agile/scrum methodologies - Understanding of various enterprise security solutions (LDAP and/or Kerberos)
