HR Generalist
job summary:
HR Generalist - Clarksville, TN
- This is a contract role expected to last 12 months.
HR Generalist ?- Job Duties:
Administration of HR policies and programs covering: employee relations, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and wellness programs
Ensures HR practices are in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Consults with management on application/interpretation of laws and regulations, HR policies, performance issues, transfers, terminations, and promotions.
Monitors employee climate to identify issues/trends; counsel managers on identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
Handles internal complaints, investigations, disputes, employee issues and concerns.
Actively participate in education, communication, implementation and training
Consult with team members responsible for other customer groups and with HR Manager on design of communication, implementation and training programs.
Consults with management on recruitment issues.
Provide support for various HR projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or other related field required.
PHR certification a plus
Strong working knowledge of human resources functions in areas such as benefits, employee relations, recruitment, etc.
Manufacturing environment experience required
Union experience is a plus
Current knowledge of employment law and regulations.
Broad understanding and familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (PeopleSoft, Kronos)
Proficiency with PC applications required, particularly Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation : $27-$32/hr
