Infrastructure Project Manager - Cloud

job summary:

TITLE: Project Manager - Infrastructure

LOCATION: Gaithersburg, MD

DURATION: 12 months contract with possible extension or hire

JOB SUMMARY:

Delivers a project on time, within budget, while meeting Company expectations. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of projects, individual work streams, or releases within a systems implementation program so that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:

Managing Projects

  • Plans projects, including cost, schedule, and deliverables to meet business need

  • Manages budget for program under direct control

  • Interfaces with vendor(s) for programs under direct control

  • Manages project risks

  • Contributes to business case development/tracking

  • Tracks project performance

  • 5 years' experience in information technology across diverse technologies, along with experience with Cloud Technologies and Channel Partners as this will be the focus of the projects managed.

Preferred:

  • Experience in infrastructure project management

  • Project Management Certification preferred

  • Very strong oral and written communication skills

  • Background in Application Development, maintenance and/or Infrastructure

  • ITIL background and/or certification
