Soft Gel Operator

The Softgel Operator is responsible for Softgel Operations with respect to Softgel encapsulation machine and Mechanical skill to set and trouble shoot Softgel machine. Work under minimum supervision and required to know Department SOP's and cGMP. The Machine Operator level is an advanced position where the individual has mastered advanced operation and troubleshooting as well as basic maintenance of a Softgel Encapsulation machine. This is a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Hours: 3:00pm to 12:00am

Pay: $15 - 19/hr.


? Sets up equipment- Encapsulation Machine including Capsule Sorting Machine, Inspection Belt and any other equipment required for Softgel manufacturing.

? Ensures the efficient and quality standards for operation of Softgel machinery.

? Responsible for all set-ups and changeovers. Provides technical support for staff for equipment and processes.

? Troubleshoots machines as needed during the production run as a priority to minimize downtime

? Performs or verifies batch record entries. Ensures batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are up-to-date.

? Monitors process and equipment, making necessary adjustments as needed or required, to maintain batch record specifications. Ensures that the equipment in the department is cleaned properly before start set up of a new lot of product.

? Must be familiar with In-Process Testing Equipment and should be able to test Softgel for seam thickness, Hardness, Burst strength, cell weight etc. using testing equipment to ensure quality production.

Working hours: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM


  • Able to communicate effectively

  • Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and OSHA standards required in a pharmaceutical environment


High School




  • Able to submit to a drug test and background check

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalency

  • Must have at least 3 -5 years of encapsulation experience within a pharmaceutical production environment

  • Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds

  • Must stand and walk on production floor a minimum of 8 hours per shift with allowed break timings

  • Able to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and bend
