Electrical Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experience electrical technician to be part of a team developed to maintain and improve the operation of GTG Jacksonville production equipment, along with the maintenance and improvement of Jacksonville facilities including offices, warehouse and grounds.
Diagnoses and correct cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of production equipment.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
Supports the planning and execution of planned equipment shutdowns.
Plans, directs, and records periodic electrical testing of equipment and recommend or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.
Maintain, install and when directed remove facility electrical systems such as fans, cameras, communication systems, alarms wiring and other equipment normally found in a manufacturing environment.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair large machinery such as Wrappers, Case packing equipment, Rewinders and associated pieces of equipment.
Assists all other electrical and mechanical technicians as needed.
Report to management any issues which affect or may affect production and safety.
Work alone or with others to develop and test operating procedures.
Follow OSHA and ANSI requirements when working on and repairing electrical equipment.
Set up and operate test equipment associated with the maintenance of or the diagnosis and repair of industrial electrical equipment.
Read and use electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams and circuit diagrams.
Provide training to the operating personnel in routine maintenance, new equipment installs and operating procedures.
Be available to assist with resolving equipment problems during off hours.
Replace and or repair electric motors and motor control units.
Perform AC DC circuit troubleshooting.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Technical skill in the following areas
o Motor and motor controls.
o Digital and analog devices.
o AC / DC circuit troubleshooting.
o Linear feedback control systems.
o Adjustable speed motor controls
o Power distribution / protective devices.
o Closed loop positioning systems.
o Combinational / Sequential logic
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two year degree in electrical/mechanical technology or relevant experience.
3 year working in an industrial setting.
Basic mechanical skills.
Maintains an excellent safety and attendance.
