Electrical Engineer

Contract position: An Electrical Project Engineer, with a building construction background is needed for a long-term contract opportunity with a leading manufacturing organization. The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for conducting project planning and and electrical engineering feasibility studies for electrical systems found within the plant. Qualified candidates must have a BS in Electrical Engineering, and 3+ years' industrial building construction and design. This opportunity located in Lexington, KY, and our client is only seeking local talent or talent willing to relocation on their own.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer

  • Conduct project planning support including electrical engineering feasibility studies

  • Ensure building standards, specifications, and construction documents for electrical systems meet applicable standards

  • Investigate building industry trends and past building issues to develop and introduce improvements for the electrical systems

  • Complete technical studies related to building expansions including system capacity studies, and estimates of new electrical systems and schedules

  • Review of electrical drawings from outside engineering firms to support construction phase

Requirements for the Electrical Engineer

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • 3+ years' industrial building construction and design; must have detailed design standard and specification background

  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD

  • Experience with MS office preferred
