Reliability Engineer

Permanent position: Innovative transportation company is seeking multiple RAMS (Reliability Availability & Maintenance Safety) Engineers in Los Angeles, CA. The RAMS Engineers will prepare and execute project safety plans and perform reliability analysis using various standards of reliability. Qualified candidates will have strong quantitative RAMS calculations experience and experience working to deliver compliance with EN50126 or ARP 4761. Candidates should have at least 4 years of safety engineering experience and a Bachelor's Degree. Additional responsibilities and requirements below. Responsibilities for the Reliability Engineer

  • Conduct/facilitate PHA, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis and other safety studies with Engineering groups.

  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated to internal and external customers

  • Co-ordinate the timely production of the necessary design safety documentation, especially the relevant safety cases and related documentation for approval milestones.

Requirements for the Reliability Engineer

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering required

  • 4-10 years experience with safety engineering (quantitative RAMS calculations experience)

  • Familiarity with reliability and failure rates of common electronic and electro-technical components

  • Familiarity with reliability analysis tools (IsoGraph's Reliability Workbench, for example)

  • Experience working to deliver compliance with EN50126 (rail) or ARP 4761 (airspace) is a plus

  • Experience working in safety critical environments preferred.
