Investment Client Service Consultant II

A nation leading Bank and provider of Financial Services is seeking a self-driven professional to join their team as an Investment Client Service Consultant II.

This position resides with the Self Directed Client Team within Investment Manager Relations (IMR), a part of Trust Operations.

The Self Directed Team is the main liaison within Trust Operations for self -directed institutional trust clients such as mutual fund companies, insurance companies, city/county/state entities, public entities, and hedge funds.

The primary responsibility of this role includes co-signing accountability.

Co-signing consists of making sure that all wires (cash movement) have been verified and are going to the right place. This is deadline oriented.

Other responsibilities of this role will include assistance with the general maintenance of accounts.

Collectively, this team services over $150 billion in market value.

This team of senior individuals works directly with the client, and partners closely with the Institutional Retirement &Trust Relationship Managers on direct (in person or via phone) client meetings, and new processes/procedures.

This team has direct impact on retaining existing business and earning new business from existing clients or as referrals. These clients are typically high profile, highly sensitive and high maintenance relationships.

Transactions are moderately-complex to complex and large dollar in nature, requiring detailed communication and coordination with many other Trust Operations departments as well as requiring extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems.

Services of this team include, but are not limited to:

  • Account/relationship management

  • Trade and cash processing

  • Corporate action communication

  • Inquiry research and resolution

  • Transaction reconciliation

  • Cash management

  • Process creation and/or implementation

The main responsibilities of this team include but are not limited to:

  • Client (internal and external) communication (email and phone)

  • Reconciling and auditing accounts

  • Processing of daily cash transactions

  • Research

  • Problem solving

  • Data entry

  • Balancing

  • Follow up

  • Differentiating, processing, and reconciling transactions

  • Resolving customer complaints

  • Reviewing time-sensitive and/or complex documents

  • Coordinates situations involving multiple department


Required Qualifications:

  • An accredited degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or any related subject field

  • 3+ years of customer service experience

  • Previous Trust experience and SEI experience preferred

  • Detail orientation

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong organization skills

  • Adaptability and flexibility to processes

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word
