Maintenance Engineer

Permanent position: Global automotive manufacturer is seeking a direct-hire Maintenance Engineer. This position is on first shift and is located near Montgomery, Alabama. The Maintenance Engineer will assist with improving the maintenance team's tools, systems, and methods to increase plant equipment optimization and efficiency. The salary is commensurate with experience ranging from $55K to $85K, plus an opportunity for a bonus and PTO. Relocation is provided. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer

  • Review equipment downtime occurrences and trouble reports as well as assist with the development of countermeasures for chronic, recurring, and/or severe recurrence

  • Identify and define Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities for all plant equipment and infrastructure assets

  • Identify plant utility cost, monitor changes, and identify ways to improve cost savings within the maintenance department

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is required

  • At least 2+ years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment, automotive experience is a PLUS!

  • Strong hands-on maintenance experience working on capital equipment and machinery

  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities and procedures for plant equipment and infrastructure
