Sr Data Warehouse Analyst

job summary:

The Senior Data Warehouse Analyst will be working with our SME's designing and implementing solutions that satisfy complex business requirements.

This position requires strong customer focus and prompt handling of various issues as they arise (tuning queries, database improvements, develop extracts, and debug applications). The qualified candidate will work on multiple initiatives in parallel with a strong focus to complete them on-time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop new functionality, design and implement Oracle PL/SQL solutions that satisfy complex business requirements.

  • Focus on application design that provides stability and performance.

  • Responsible for design and implementation of software solutions that understand the business domain (problems, activities, processes) and apply that understanding to strategic decision making to maximize technology value.

  • Experience tuning complex queries

  • Demonstrated experience in application and database performance improvements like partitioning, indexing, rewriting queries.

  • Develop extract, transform, and load (ETL) procedures that feed data into data warehouse

  • Perform data cleansing, data blending, data validation, data transformation, data normalization, and possibly multi-dimensional modeling after some time in the role

  • Debug, remediate and enhance existing computer applications based on documented variances and enhancement requests, and with guidance from subject matter experts

Required Skills:

  • Performance/security-oriented data modeling and data design, including partitions, different type of indexes, views, and most effective data management practices.

  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and a drive to deliver outstanding solutions.

  • Extensive knowledge of application and database tuning.

  • Independent problem solver with ability to provide examples of troubleshooting experience.

  • Knowledge of replication methodologies is preferred.

  • Experience with visual ETL tools like Alteryx, SAS

  • Ability to deliver in high pressure environment while taking inputs from multiple team members

  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
