Associate Director, Sales Compliance & Operations
Responsible for the development and management of the Sales Compliance and Operations department. Oversee Sales Incentive Compensation including related budget control, CRM reporting and maintenance, sales performance monitoring, Open Payment and State HCP reporting, third party credentialing and support for the review and delivery of field sales compliance training. This role will also drive the development of Commercial Operations data, data management and reporting platforms and provide report and data management support ongoing.
Develops, implements and maintains appropriate processes and systems to support regulatory requirements as they relate to Federal Open Payments (Sunshine Act/Aggregate Spend) and other state reporting requirements related to healthcare provider payments. Serves as subject matter expert. Remains current on regulation changes affecting requirements and programs.
Ensures timely and accurate submission of all required reporting related to Open Payments and state HCP spend. Directs regular internal audits of data and systems to support company?s compliance with Federal and State programs. Initiates, creates and/or approves creation of, or amendments to, related SOPs corporate wide.
Oversees the models and analysis of potential sales incentive plans, forecasting performance, territory management design and associated expenses. Solicits input on current and potential plan designs from various stakeholders. Reviews and is first line approval for all plans and payouts.
Directs and manages implementation and maintenance of the CRM and other field sales related applications. This includes all data, architecture, and module/applications. Drives projects related to the development of these tools. Responsible for training on the use of the CRM and related data corporate wide.
Working with IT, translates complex reporting and compliance requirements into efficient systems that comply with the needs of the business and government regulations. Develops systems and processes to obtain internal and external data for the purposes of monitoring commercial performance and activity at the account, territory, district and national level. Assesses the quality of the data and develops controls to monitor and correct for anomalies.
Supports the review and delivery of compliance training programs for employees in the US and US territories as well as Sales and Marketing compliance programs (PhRMA Code, HIPPA, etc).
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Researches and recommends 3rd party vendor support if needed to fulfill reporting obligations. Maintains relationships and deliverables with 3rd party vendors and provides oversite to ensure an appropriate cost effective engagement.
Collaborates with internal and external counsel, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Customer Service and Medical to communicate and drive programs throughout the organization. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders across multiple internal work teams.
Manages and fosters the growth of the team to support the long term growth and corporate strategies. Oversees full range of performance management processes and training and development needs of functional team. Leads and motivates employees and provides feedback, coaching, and counseling to enhance or improve performance by setting expectations and holding individuals accountable for performance and behavior. Maintains a culture that is focused on compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
BA/BS degree with 10+ years progressive in pharmaceutical Sales Operations and/or Commercial compliance programs or equivalent.
Strong working knowledge of sales operations and Commercial compliance related to healthcare provider payments - Federal Open Payments (Sunshine Act/Aggregate Spend) and other state reporting requirements.
Demonstrated leadership in managing sales operations / compliance staff to ensure continuous improvement in functionality of the team and provide ?best in class? growth and development opportunities for high functioning individuals.
Demonstrated experience in sales operations policy and procedure development as well as identification and implementation of internal controls.
Exceptionally strong organizational skills including adherence to deadlines, detail and results oriented to manage workflow for team.
Adept at reading and interpreting legal documents and regulations using proven critical thinking skills decision making and program risk assessment.
Experienced and skilled at utilizing CRM systems. Technical systems aptitude including a basic understanding of database structures from a functional prospective. Experience in CRM administration/implementation preferred. Strong MS-Office skills
Demonstrated skills in driving continuous improvement in the areas of responsibility to drive transition to ?best in class? organization.
Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of management with consistent energy, enthusiasm and professionalism.
Occasional overnight travel based on business need.
