Permanent position: Our client in Los Angeles has an immediate position for a Production Supervisor for their 2nd Shift. In this role, the candidate will manage the production performance, personnel issues, ensure that EHS standards are followed, and team is meeting production goals. They will manage both full time and contract employees, and will be responsible for training, planning, directing assignments, addressing complaints and resolving issues, including carrying out terminations and other disciplinary actions. A four year degree is required for this position.
Responsibilities for the Production Supervisor
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances, conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Requirements for the Production Supervisor
Degree in mechanical engineering; materials technology, manufacturing/operations, process engineering or related field.
5-10 Years of industry experience and a minimum 3 years ub a managerial/supervisory roles
Spanish Speaking is a plus
