Our client which is a Fortune 500 client and also a fast growing company is looking for a Jr level benefits specialist. This role is perfect for someone that wants to grow and has a fundamental understanding of benefits administration in a corporate setting.
Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration of benefit programs. The Benefits Specialist is actively involved in program development, implementation and continuous improvement efforts. This position provides guidance and assistance to all company locations (field HR representatives) on various benefit plans. The Benefits Specialist handles employee and retiree benefit inquiries and issues The Benefits Specialist serves as day-to-day contact for third-party administrators and independently provides direction with respect to maintenance of records and administrative procedures.

Builds strong relationships with plan providers, ensuring the successful transmission/receipt of vendor interface files and necessary correction action for records with errors.
As the primary point of contact for complex escalated benefit issues, responds to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
Proactively identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and increase employee engagement.
Assists in the design and execution of controls to ensure process oversight (e.g., review of vendor reporting, reconciliation of claims and payment data, reports on processes for audit purposes, etc.).
Responsible for ensuring program compliance (e.g., nondiscrimination testing, ACA reporting, etc.).
Assists in the project management of annual enrollment; review enrollment materials, execute user-acceptance testing, validate upload of election data for the new plan year.
Takes the lead on various change management initiatives (e.g., benefits integration activities resulting from M&A activities, plan design and process change implementations, etc.).
Participate in the design and implementation of new benefit programs.
