Regional Finance Manager

job summary:

Are you looking to be part of a growing Finance Department? This position will report to the VP of Finance and will support the global business operation to solve complex problems that directly impact overall performance. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting and drive financial modeling. This position includes oversight of four locations in Northern California and some minimal travel may be required.

The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual? will have strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes as well as presenting results to the Senior Leadership team including the COO and CEO.

This role requires someone who is able to think strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.

responsibilities:

Baseline Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the monthly close activities for respective Market

  2. Responsible for all cost transfers for respective Market

  3. Responsible for all RFM Adjustments via PARS throughout the month

  4. Responsible for review and first level approval of all over-budget forms submitted from operations

  5. Market go-to Finance person on all Baseline related questions

  6. Responsible for review and submission of all PO Receiving sent to Corporate to be auto-uploaded

  7. Work directly with Regional Finance Controller on all questions related to specific jobs or overall Baseline

Forecasting

  1. Assist Regional Finance Controller on Quarterly Forecasts

  2. Assist Region Finance Controller on Annual Budgets

Inventory Controls Responsibilities

  1. Manage the financial component of the quarterly warehouse audits for respective warehouse

  2. Work with logistics Buyer on an over-budget or other PO level issues encountered in the course of day to day operations

  3. Work with Market Material PC on and issues encountered in the course of day to day operations

  4. Market go-to Finance person on all logistic questions

  5. Review daily cycle counts

  6. Reviews and approves daily PO and/or Transaction Errors

  7. Review and approves daily Inter-Org Requests

Indirect Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the support and management of the Market Indirect expenses in working closely with the Market Directors / Leadership

  2. Review weekly and monthly the Market Indirect actual costs to verify accuracy and work with Market leadership to understand or adjust any items that seem out of place

Other Finance Related Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for training and support of financially sound receiving practices within the Market

  2. Responsible for all questions and issues encountered in the course of day to day operations related to Accounts Payable and vendor issues

  3. Support Corporate Accounts Receivable in all billing and cash application related inquires

  4. Review the Profit & Loss and market Indirect reports throughout the month to identify potential issues and coordinate with the Operation Director and Project Managers to determine what financial adjustments need to be made

  5. Consolidate financial tools for the market to be submitted to your Regional Finance Controller on a weekly to monthly basis

  6. Ensure that all market finance team members are working to meet the deadlines identified in the monthly Financial Closing

  7. Prepares, coordinates, and directs Financial presentations to Market, as required

  8. Provides oversight and direction relative to Market Financial development and implementation

  9. Supports development of Financial standards and procedures

  10. Develops, interprets, and executes policy, objectives, and standards applicable to Financial Controls

  11. Other duties as assigned by the Regional Finance Controller

Project Controls Responsibilities

  1. Project Reviews

  2. PM weekly reviews

  3. Sales Order Gap file and review

  4. Projects sitting at CI050 or CI032 not pushing to CL001/CL100 timely

  5. Who is closing the SAQ projects

  6. Projects to close - not just the CL100's

  7. Old, cancelled, expense, 2.0, on hold, etc.

  8. CIEB reviews

  9. BIEC reviews

  10. CBS reviews

  11. Reviews Job data Accuracy

  12. Low Margin reviews

  13. Especially important with 4.0 for margin erosion - we need to be getting these in front of the PMs early

  14. PM Name changes

  15. Carlos(s) file BL - overlaps the above

  16. Develop and report a KPI tool to quickly identify and hold the PM's and Leadership accountable

  17. Closed Project reporting by PM

  3. Monthly analysis due by the 20 th unless closing goes past the 15th

Other Finance Related Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for training and support of financially sound receiving practices within the Market

  2. Responsible for all questions and issues encountered in the course of day to day operations related to Accounts Payable and vendor issues

  3. Support Corporate Accounts Receivable in all billing, match hold and cash application related inquires

  4. Consolidate financial tools for the market to be submitted to your Regional Finance Controller on a weekly to monthly basis

  5. Ensure that all market finance team members are working to meet the deadlines identified in the monthly Financial Closing

  6. Prepares, coordinates, and directs Financial presentations to Market, as required

  7. Provides oversight and direction relative to Market Financial development and implementation

  8. Supports development of Financial standards and procedures

  • You have 7+ years financial analysis experience

  • You are detail oriented and trustworthy with good judgment.

  • You have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables

  • You have advanced knowledge of Excel and Oracle and the ability to learn custom software

  • You have the ability to drive results and improves processes

  • You have proven problem-solving skills

  • You have strong communication skills and solid business acumen

  • You enjoy working in a fast paced high volume work environment

  • Superior analytical and solution oriented

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and "business partnering" experience

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
