POSITION: Client Solutions - Sales Development

Reports to: Vice President of Sales - U.S.

As a member of the commercial team, the Client Solutions Sales role for Retail & CPG will be responsible for global customer acquisition and revenue generation as well as partnership alignment. This is a Client Facing role selling Supply Chain Mapping, Cost Monitoring, Retail & Manufacturing Planning, Fulfillment, and Visibility solutions to Retail, Food/Beverage, and Consumer Product Sectors

Understanding of eCommerce webstore platforms, merchant marketplaces, ERP, PIM, OMS, WMS & TMS. Experience with eCommerce industry concepts including product sourcing, catalog management, marketplace management, repricing & inventory management. as well as forecasting, market research, and competitive positioning will also be part of this job description Experience creating value propositions, industry analysis, online collateral, go-to-market strategies, and generation programs are key to this role.

responsibilities:

  • Consult with new prospects to determine mutual business value.

  • Prepare, present, negotiate proposals for new business.

  • Work with Sales Engineer to perform software product demos.

  • Attend industry conferences like Shoptalk, Prosper, Ops Summit, RILA, IRCE &Shop.org.

  • Work with executives to improve product, marketing messaging and ideal customer targeting to increase close %.

  • Grow as a person and employee by taking on new challenges and opportunities.

qualifications:

  • 5 years of enterprise software sales experience.

  • Sold SaaS solutions

  • Industry experience selling to eCommerce retailers & brands.

  • Understanding of eCommerce webstore platforms, merchant marketplaces, ERP, PIM, OMS, WMS & TMS.

  • Understanding of eCommerce industry concepts including product sourcing, catalog management, marketplace management, dynamic repricing & inventory management.

  • Understanding of supply chain process& common fulfillment methods including FBA, shipping from stock, drop shipping, cross-docking & 3PL.

  • Strategic Alliance relationships with consultants, systems integrator's and software publishers.

  • Possess strong consulting and problem solving skills.

  • Follow a defined sales methodology. Teaching, educating, challenging assumptions and helping prospects think about their business in a different way.

  • Possess the ability to understand why people buy and the skills to lead a prospect through a buying cycle.
