This is a great opportunity to manage a global lease portfolio for a Fortune 500 company focusing on compliance with ASC 842.

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing all new building and equipment leases for accounting implications. The position requires working and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders

responsibilities:

-Subject matter expert for lease-related questions including technical accounting and lease management system (Co-Star).

-Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close.

-Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles.

-Prepares or assists in preparation of schedules to be provided to the external and internal auditors.

-Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls.

-Partners with other departments (e.g. Accounting/Finance/Operations) and subsidiaries regarding financial matters.

-Review legal documents such as leases, amendments, extensions, terminations and document financial and non-financial information into accounting system

-Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly rent payments.

-Provide support for special projects and other duties as assigned.

qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required

-2-4 years of Accounting experience required

-Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial statements.

-Solves complex problems and/or conducts complex analyses.

-Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint (Advanced Excel Required)

-2+ years of public accounting experience strongly desired

-Active CPA preferred.

-JDEdwards recommended

-Blackline preferred

-Hyperion knowledge a plus
