Randstad is seeking Specimen Accessioner for one of the largest clinical laboratory networks in the world, located in North County San Diego, off of the 15.
The Specimen Accessioner prepares laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing. Unpacks specimens from branches or ports and routes specimens by type to various staging areas. Prepares all specimens received for testing in designated laboratory departments or locations such as staging of specimens, centrifuge, separate serum, and blood smears. Aliquots sample for departments. Prepares excess specimen samples for storage and resolves and document problem specimens.
$12.00/hour + 15% shift differential ($13.80/hour)
Temp to Permanent
Working hours: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
--Data Entry skills
--Has worked night and/or overnight shifts
--Comfortable handling urine and blood samples
--Good verbal communication skills
--Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently
--Ability to follow precise directions in situations requiring speed, accuracy and efficiency
High School diploma or equivalent required
Monday-Friday 9:00 pm - 5:30 am
Tuesday-Friday 9:00 pm - 5:30 am and Saturday 11:30pm-8am
