Technical Revenue Accountant

responsibilities:
Assist in reviewing revenue contracts to determine proper revenue recognition treatment
Assist in revenue analysis through processing and aggregating data and contract information for analytical and reporting purposes
Assist in revenue recognition projects around deal review and automated workflow initiatives
Support the timely and accurate close of the revenue cycle and all associated reporting, reconciliations and financial reporting key controls
Assist with global revenue policies - implement end to end revenue processes
Ensure the accounting system is in compliance with the latest revenue recognition standards and lead the system update/upgrade efforts if needed
Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and system features to enhance workflow
Provide support to ensure financial audit requirements are met
Ensure compliance with key controls in the order to cash cycle, accurate GAAP reporting and audit requirements
qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
3 years of work experience required, public accounting experience is a plus, preferably with hands-on support of revenue accounting cycles
Hands-on experience with Oracle and, Microsoft Office suite and contract management systems
Knowledge of technical revenue accounting and operations; in particular revenue recognition accounting literature, including the new revenue recognition standard
