Senior Staff Accountant

job summary:

A large company on the Eastside is looking to bring on a Senior Staff Accountant to assist with two sides of the business. This role will focus heavily on tax accounting, but will also help with General Ledger and Month-End Close. This company offers a lot of growth potential, so don't hesitate to apply!

Duties

  • Recording of journal entries.

  • Prepare month end accounts payable accrual.

  • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliation schedules.

  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset System.

  • Prepaid permit tracking.

  • Review accounts payable support for check/ACH disbursements.

  • Review master file changes for accuracy.

  • Contribute to the timely completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

  • Prepare documents requested by auditors.

  • Review and analysis of monthly project profit and loss statements including fluctuation and trend analysis, and comparison of current period results against prior periods and forecast benchmarks.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What do we require from you?

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required.

  • 1- 3 years related experience preferred.

  • Accounting and tax accounting experience required.

  • Working knowledge of corporate taxation .

  • Proficient in Excel.

  • Entertainment experience and SAP knowledge a plus.
