Electrical Technician

Permanent position: Electrical Technician at a world-wide leading industrial manufacturer located near North Syracuse, NY. This role is responsible to implement preventive maintenance programs for controls and associated equipment within the manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have either a Two (2) year Electrical/Technical degree or at least Four (4) years of electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment. Overtime potential and relocation assistance available. Candidates must be comfortable working on a rotating shift schedule. APPLY NOW!

Responsibilities for the Electrical Technician

  • Troubleshoot and maintenance of plant equipment

  • Work with maintenance and engineering staff to support the electrical maintenance needs of a manufacturing unit

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for controls and associated equipment

  • Provide technical expertise regarding specifications, design, construction, and installation of new or replacement equipment

  • Provide technical expertise and input to other personnel and equipment suppliers

Requirements for the Electrical Technician

  • Two (2) year Electrical or Technical related degree

  • Willing to entertain candidates with at least four (4) years of electrical maintenance experience in lieu of degree

  • Experience troubleshooting industrial motor controls (A/C & D/C controls)

  • Ladder logic, process control, and instrumentation experience is preferred

  • Manufacturing experience is coveted
