Process Engineer

Permanent position: Process Engineer at a world-wide leading manufacturer located near North Syracuse, NY. This role is responsible to determine and eliminate the causes of quality defects, by providing effective resolution of customer issues by developing and improving the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Material Science, Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical is preferred) with experience within an industrial environment. Responsibilities for the Process Engineer

  • Determination and elimination of the causes of quality defects

  • Provide effective resolution of customer complaints by resolving process issue during manufacturing process

  • Responsible for process engineering/metallurgy within the specific group of manufacturing facility.

  • Facilitation and completion of product and process developments and improvement projects

  • Data extraction and analysis on products involving metal properties

Requirements for the Process Engineer

  • Bachelor's in Engineering or Technical field is required (Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical is preferred)

  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year of process engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • Steel, Aluminum, Metallurgy, Paper, and/or Automotive experience is preferred

  • Must have excellent communication skills to resolve process and quality issues

  • Ability to identify the root cause and explaining the resolution plan to other personnel
