Seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant comfortable with hands on accounts payable as well as GL grants related accounting.

Performs monthly close procedures including journal entries and account analysis, and month end reconciliation with trial balance on select accounts.
Reconciles Master credit card account and enters into accounts payable system.
Assist in reviewing and approving invoices and travel reimbursement., processing the check disbursements.
Manages the organization's daily accounting functions including monitoring cash balances, making deposits, completing journal entries, and reconciling bank account.
Enter all membership, registration and exhibitor/sponsorship payments to Financial Edge.
Support with monthly close which includes but not limited to calculating overhead, recording revenue, generating monthly activity statements and invoices, and tracking payments when needed
Ensure that invoicing reflect actual amounts to be paid per contractual terms and meet the requirements of the planned activities for grants and programs
MUST HAVE Blackbaud and AVID experience.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan proactively to meet various reporting deadlines.
Strong computer skills to include proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and experience with accounting system software (Financial Edge) and other database applications
Proven skills with principles and practices of federal grants administration, including familiarity with OMB Uniform Guidance.
Strong analytical skills
