Automation Engineer

Permanent position: Night Shift Automation Engineer needed at leading electronics manufacturer located in West Columbia, SC. Need to have engineering experience with high speed automated equipment. Responsibilities for the Automation Engineer

  • Execute machine installation and qualification protocols.

  • Develop operation and maintenance procedures.

  • Provide corrective maintenance support to production personnel to return faulted/failed machines to service.

  • Develop and execute continuous improvement projects to improve machine OEE (downtime, yield, scrap).

  • Design and engineer moderately-complex automation equipment, tooling and applications.Participate in design reviews.

Requirements for the Automation Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and/or troubleshooting high speed automated equipment.

  • Experience with high-volume automation applications in the medical device, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, or electronics industries.
